Double humbucker, neck pup is not to muddy. A decent sounding guitar actually. The stock neck configuration was a D shape to a gradual C shape. I didn't care for the D so I reshaped to C. Used Tru oil, (gun stock oil) so no drag and it looks good. It has a nice finish in Honeyburst. Really nice thing about this BUDGET guitar is the neck work. Roasted maple neck, stainless steel frets, good craftmanship. Excellent playability.
