Prefers full sun, can tolerate partial shade, soil pH 6.8 - 8.1, plant at least 2 feet apart, hardy and drought tolerant in zones 3-10, will fruit and flower until first frost. If left un-pruned, they can grow as tall as 10-13 feet with a spread of about 4 feet. Train like a grape vine on a trellis or as a shrub. Prune after year 2, choose a main shoot and prune all others below it about 15” from the ground. When plant reaches 2 feet tall in summer, pinch out growing tips to cause side branching for more fruit. After main structure is established, just prune back to desired height, always remove branches within 15” of the ground & any unproductive branches. Thin out branches after berry season.

A bright orange/red superfood fruit with a delicious slightly sour flavor, boosts immune system and brain activity, protects against heart disease and cancer, improves life expectancy with high amounts of protein, amino acids, Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin C, potassium, iron, magnesium, copper, zinc, beta-carotene, zeaxanthin, five times more antioxidants than prunes, and ten times more than blueberries.
