We have enjoyed using this block daily for food prep and is easily maintained by wiping with food grade oil every two months or so. The surface is a nice honey patina and the side holds several knives. This beautiful solid maple butcher block is a very useful and functional piece of furniture which is on wheel allowing you to move it around or make it static piece in the middle of your kitchen. The block weighs over 150 lbs. and has a working surface of 24" x 36". Circa 1920-40.
