Alpha Tau Omega: The Positive Experience is the definitive reference work and manual of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. The first such guide was The Manual of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, edited in 1911 by Claude T. Reno, Muhlenberg, and popularly known through subsequent revisions an "Reno's Manual." The second edition, or version of a guide was edited in 1956 by Warren Danford, California, and had the distinctive and symbolic name of Propylon. The third-edition also known as Propylon, was edited in 1973 by Robert E. Norris, Indiana. Alpha Tau Omega: The Positive Experience, the fourth edition of ATO's manual for members was edited in 1985 by William D. Krahling, Mount Union, and Mark F. Mullinix, Missouri. Its purpose is basic: To help ATOs become "Active for Life," enjoying a lifetime of friendship, leadership, and service through Fraternity...through ATO.
