My idea for the beginnings of this band are as follows:
This will be a celtic folk/rock band; it won't be totally folk sounding nor totally rock sounding but a good mix of both - some of my influences are the prodigals, seanchai and the unity squad, brace yourself bridget, brigids cross, the mickey finns, the fenians, the pogues, gaelic storm, tempest, homeland, wolfstone, bad haagis, enter the haagis, etc etc!
Traveling and performing to various festivals and celtic events will be part of the plan after our band has formed.
Like many celtic bands, there are favorite traditional songs that are covered and I would like to do some traditional with our own spin on them, as well as original songs created by us
I want a mix of guitars [electric and accoustic], bass guitars, fiddle, bag pipes/ulian pipes, drum kits and bodhráns, didgeridoo and woodwind instruments! If you are a musician that plays something else and think it will fit into the band, let me know!
As for myself, I'm a vocalist. I have also had five years of flute training and can play various whistles as well as a bodhran!

Genre is a cross between psychedelic and progressive rock with emphasis on improvisation.
The musician should be laid back, open to the jam-band scene, and proficient in piano, organ, clav, and synthesizer improvisation.
The auditions are open preferably to anyone between 18- 25 years old.
They must be up to a professional standard and be able to handle work under pressure and willing to travel.
The new member must be prepared to commit to a full recording, promotional and touring schedule and willing to be involved in all aspects of being in a band, including driving, loading and unloading and other duties as assigned to support the business.
The audition will involve you performing your version of our music and an interpretation of the music including the ability to play some rock n roll covers.
Auditions will be held in Dayton, Ohio.

I once sat in the personal studio of a songwriter who had successfully sold a Grammy Award winning song to a major artist. He was pretty well set financially due to this single accomplishment.

We are seeking some one creative and dedicated , The band goes into the studio in October to record an E.P with Byzantine Producer Charles Fisher and Drew Mazurek will be mixing it who just finished working with " HELLYEAH " and has worked with "linkin Park and Nothingface ".
Also this is a very business oriented band with regular opening slots for Major Touring acts as well as doing its own touring and regional shows.
We do have a stage persona thing going we do dress in shirt and tie for each show so you have to be ok with this as well.

Writing is steadily progressing, and a two song demo will be available on the Myspace page within the month.
Practice is in Springboro approximately once per week. Schedule adjusted as needed for recording and extra writing sessions.
Age is not a primary consideration, but applicants should be above 21, and, preferably, in the 25-40 age range. All members are experienced and proficient, so the same is expected of those interested.
Future goals include release of a CD within the next 6-12 months, and regional gigging. As with all beginning original bands, this will not be a money making opportunity in the short term.
